Walnut Brownies

Approximately 30 Minutes

12 Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Walnuts Chopped
  • 1 and 1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 4 Large Eggs or 1 Cup Butter Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Unsalted Butter

Instructions:

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Melt the Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or melt it in a saucepan over low heat on the stovetop. Let it cool slightly.
  • Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix well until the sugar is fully incorporated into the butter.
  • Add the Eggs or Butter Milk and Vanilla: Add the eggs or Butter Milk one at a time, to the butter-sugar mixture, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Add the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to over mix.
  • Fold in the Walnuts: Gently fold in the chopped walnuts into the brownie batter, reserving a handful for topping, if desired.
  • Bake the Brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the reserved walnuts on top. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool and Cut: Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, cut them into squares or rectangles.
  • Serve: Serve the walnut brownies as is or with a scoop of ice cream, if desired. Enjoy!

These walnut brownies are rich, fudgy, and filled with crunchy walnuts. They make a delightful treat for chocolate and nut lovers alike!
